Shamara AKA DJ WhySham, is a 2019 Boston Music Award nominee. She is a visionary, activist, traveler, sister, god-parent and uses the tagline “Your Community DJ”.

Her background in Criminal Justice, Communication and Community Outreach has led her to merge her artistry as a DJ. She focuses on mental and public health, while believing bringing music, hardship, and pain together as a release for collective trauma.
